Justin Bieber is a brat!!

Is Justin Bieber a brat? Believe it or not, that's the question of the day.

It stems from a story being reported by Fox411's Pop Tarts. Bieber was on a flight from Los Angeles to Asia and refused to cooperate with flight staff when they asked him to take his seat in preparation for takeoff, says Pop Tarts, quoting an unnamed eyewitness.

"He then gave the staff a really hard time the whole flight, nobody could believe it," said the source. "And then at the end, the captain introduced himself to Justin and kindly asked for an autograph, and he rudely refused."

Neither Bieber's representatives nor American Airlines have commented on the incident. But Fox411 points out it's not the first time Bieber has been accused of having a bad attitude. CSI star Marg Helgenberger said he was a "brat" on the set when he guest-starred.

TMZ caught up with the teen heartthrob, however, asked what was up with the brat rumor. "I have no clue. I have never heard that rumor," said Bieber, "ever!" He added, "I don't think you should believe everything you hear. People make up stuff all the time." When asked about the rumors calling him a “brat” among other not-so-nice nicknames, the star seemed shocked by the allegations. He said that he couldn’t understand why people would think of him in that way, and stated, “I’ve never heard that rumor before.”

When the cameraman mentioned the specific incident on the flight reported by FOX, the star replied, “I don’t think you should believe everything you hear people make stuff up all the time.” He also added, “Supposedly I’m dead today… that’s the rumor.”

Aston kutcher is flirting with going back to TV

TV's highest paid actor Ashton Kutcher says in an interview with Details magazine, "I've been flirting with going back to TV for a while,". "When this opportunity came up, I thought to myself, why not?"

He isn't just taking over 'Charlie Sheen's' role on 'Two and a Half Men', he's taking Charlie's slot as TV's most overpaid highest-paid actor. And that's before a single episode of his has aired.

The interview focuses on Kutcher's involvement with the Web and social media, but touched on his upcoming Two and a Half Men job, too.

At the time, he described his character this way: "It's somewhere between an alien and Jesus Christ, but I can't be more specific than that," Kutcher cracked. Now, of course, we know that he's playing Walden Schmidt, a billionaire Internet entrepreneur.

As for Sheen, Kutcher says the two connected online. "I don't know him. I've never met him in my life. But, you know, he sent me congratulations and wished me well. Via Twitter.

Ashton Kutcher was the first winner at the Teen Choice Awards Sunday evening, and he started the show with a bang -- and a few bars of Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream." The shaggy-haired Choice Actor in a Romantic Comedy winner also imparted some wacky words of wisdom to the crowd and stole a surfboard before leaving the stage.

Alec Baldwin: Read Newspaper Everyday

Alec Baldwin, who has been filming Woody Allen's new movie in Rome, picked newspapers as his latest subject. He's definitely a man after USA TODAY's heart. And you can count on him to start a debate.

The "30 Rock" star tweeted on Monday night:

''Buy and read a newspaper every day. In print or online, there is information in newspapers you will never get from other media.''

That drew some negative response from his followers, one of whom asked for an example. Baldwin provided the New York Times subscription plans.

The exchange escalated when one follower not only insulted newspapers but Baldwin’s family.

Psx120 tweeted: “@AlecBaldwin Hey Alec, newspapers are more worthless than your brothers’ career. Get a clue.”

Baldwin responded by calling the person a “festering boil on the buttocks of a free society.”

The user soon recanted the statement and apologized, but the invective directed towards newspapers continued: “Newspapers are failing in their duties to be our free society’s watchdog however. That was my main point,” Psx120 tweeted.

Baldwin encountered another non-believer in @happyub, who tweeted “@Alec Baldwin TOP HEADLINE !!! today another 72,000 acres of prime, beautiful forest was felled today in order that sheep can read the PAPER.”

Baldwin’s response “Then read online, you festering…”

When word spread of the exchanges Tuesday morning, some members of the media stepped in on Baldwin's side, no surprise there.

Charlie Sheen is extremely grateful to Ashton Kutcher

Actor Charlie Sheen is extremely grateful that Ashton Kutcher replaced him on "Two and a Half Men" telling TMZ, if Ashton hadn't taken his old spot, he would have never kick-started his career.

According to Sheen, the upcoming funeral of his character adds a bit of closure for him.-- telling us, “I have always been told that I have 9 lives, so it is going to be amazing to witness my own funeral which is clearly a win situation because Ashton has just given me a 10th."

As we previously reported, Charlie is making a huge comeback after "Men" announcing his brand new TV project based on "Anger Management."

This comes after it was confirmed last week that Ashton Kutcher will play the character of Walden Schmidt on Two and a Half Men, an internet billionaire with a broken heart.

Girl's and White Dress

Who has seen The Sound of Music that is, everyone will likely recognize the title of Jennifer Close's Girls in White Dresses as a certain Oscar Hammerstein lyric. But given the tone and tenor of this debut novel, it shouldn't surprise that the reference isn't particularly affectionate. About halfway through the book, the three young women whose twentysomething and early-thirtysomething adventures shape the narrative are at a friend's bridal shower, where the theme is "Favorite Things" get it?

As is often the case in Girls, the booze is flowing, and the core trio is making snaky observations. It's not just that the bride-to-be is behaving insufferably; the three principals — Isabella, Lauren and Mary — are, like many of their peers, still less than satisfied in their own personal and professional lives.

In this scenario and others, Close, who is 32, captures the extended post-collegiate ennui associated with her generation — a bit too keenly, at times. The characters are not unsympathetic. Mary, a lawyer/mom prone to Catholic guilt, and Isabella, ever-ambivalent in both her career and love life, can be quite endearing. But the various accounts of troubled beaus and hangovers can test your patience for these gals and their buddies, and make their professed desires to grow up and settle down ring hollow.

Close does provide some amusing riffs on the pop zeitgeist. We're introduced briefly to a blonde, the girlfriend of one of Isabella's boyfriends, who bears a cruelly funny resemblance to JonBenet Ramsey. Then we meet Shannon, whose budding romance is doomed when the suitor starts working non-stop for "the Candidate," an unnamed political contender whose charmed rise and overwhelming charisma clearly point to the current Oval Office occupant.

Still, for all its eager sardonicism, Girls In White Dresses ultimately proves about as revealing as brown paper packages tied up with strings and less memorable than the tune associated with them.

Jane Fonda's interview

She's a 73-year-old movie icon and fitness guru - and she's still in fantastic shape.

But in a new interview in the US edition of Harper's Bazaar, Jane Fonda reveals that she's struggled with bulimia and a low self-image for most of her life and has only just learned to feel good about herself.

She says: "I wasn't very happy from, I would say, puberty to 50. It took me a long time. It was in my 40s, and if you suffer from bulimia, the older you get, the worse it gets. It takes longer to recover from a bout."

This is a woman who has always been concerned about her body image.

"I was raised in the '50s," she explains in an interview with Harper's Bazaar. "I was taught by my father that how I looked was all that mattered, frankly. He was a good man, and I was mad for him, but he sent messages to me that fathers should not send: Unless you look perfect, you're not going to be loved."

She has exercised like crazy, battled bulimia, had plastic surgery. "I'm vain," she says. "My arms are thin, but I'm vain about loose flesh. And so I'm careful that what I wear will show off my best parts, which are my waist and my butt." That said, "I have people in my life who will say, 'Honey, you're trying too hard.' I like being saucy, but I'm 73 and a half. I'm still trying to find my way between matronly and coltishness.

We think Jane looks amazing - but she deserves to after all those years she spent 'going for the burn' in aerobics classes. Just thinking about her '80s exercise video makes us feel tired...

Queen Elizabeth II's eldest granddaughter, Zara Phillips, married England rugby star Mike Tindall

Britain's swells broke out their funny hats for another royal wedding Saturday as Queen Elizabeth II's eldest granddaughter, Zara Phillips, married England rugby star Mike Tindall in Edinburgh, Scotland. The royal wedding is the second Britain has seen this year, but this affair was not accompanied by the pomp and circumstance that Prince William and Kate Middleton enjoyed in April.

The nuptials of Phillips, 30, and Tindall, 32, are expected to be far more low-key than William's wedding in late April, which was watched live on television throughout much of the world. Phillips, who does not carry a royal title — and Tindall prefer to stay out of the limelight when they are not competing, and the wedding has been organized to reflect their desires.

A regal supporting cast is expected as the queen leads her extended brood to Edinburgh, Scotland for the private festivities. Prince William and Kate Middleton, now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are expected, along with Prince Harry (still single) and bright lights from Britain's sports and show business worlds.

"It's the complete opposite end of the royal wedding spectrum," said Joe Little, managing editor of Majesty magazine. "William and Zara are both the queen's grandchildren: He's got the title, he's going to be the monarch, but Zara thinks of herself more as a sportswoman than as a royal."

The couple seem very different from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Phillips is a casual, understated and sporty woman who doesn't mind drinking beer from a bottle in public from time to time; Tindall is a powerful standout in rugby, the quintessential (and sometimes brutal) English sport. Phillips has a lovely, unlined face, while Tindall's visage reflects the rigors of his sport.

While the couple is seeking privacy in the days before the wedding — which will include a cocktail party Friday night aboard the former royal yacht Britannia, which has been hired for the occasion — London's tabloids have been tailing the couple whenever possible, seeking out crucial details, such as who is doing Phillips' nails.

For a woman once dubbed a 'wild child', Zara Phillips looked wonderfully grownup at her wedding, in an ivory gown designed by her grandmother's favourite couturier, Stewart Parvin.

The bridal dress was as modest and appropriate as you would expect from such a safe pair of hands: full-skirted in silk faille and duchess satin, with a chevron pleated corseted bodice, and a fine tulle veil.

All in all, an apparently jolly gathering of family and friends in the Scottish sunshine, that will do much to enhance this year's freshened appearance of the steady Royal firm.

Weston Cage's arrested for second time!

Nicolas Cage's 20-year-old son, Weston, was arrested on a felony domestic violence charge Wednesday, E! News has learned. It for the second time in a month. And Police say this time he had cuts on his arms.

The troubled 20-year old actor was arrested at the home he shares with new wife, Nikki Williams. He was transported to the local P.D and held all day, only getting free after posting a $50,000 bond. But her mom has some good news:

“Nikki is safe and away from him,” she told E.

The pair were only married in April but both ended up in jail early this month after a similar 911 call. Weston then told his Facebook fans he was planning divorce – but that never came.

Details are scarce, but the younger Cage was taken into custody in Hollywood at approximately 5 a.m. and booked. He was released around shortly before 5 p.m. on $50,000 bond.

Per TMZ, when L.A.'s Finest arrested the troubled headbanger, they discovered cuts on his wrist that appeared to be self-inflicted and took him to a nearby hospital to get bandaged up.

While authorities aren't saying what prompted the 911 call, it appears it may have been yet another altercation between Weston and his 22-year-old wife, Nikki Williams. Her mom told TMZ that after this latest bust, "Nikki is safe and away from him."

The twosome tied the knot in April after a relatively quick engagement, but their tumultuous relationship took a turn for the worse earlier this month, when an argument turned physical and both ended up in jail on a domestic violence rap.

Shortly after getting out, Weston took to Facebook and posted several long, rambling screeds professing his love for his missus, vowing to bail her out, and—channeling his favorite comic book hero Thor—promising to be his "family's protector" and denying he would ever attack Nikki, whom he claimed had harmed herself.

Williams, a singer in her own right, meanwhile, took to her Facebook page today like nothing ever happened to plug her burgeoning music career and share the news that she scored a record deal.

Weston’s been charged with ‘Felony domestic assault’ against his pregnant wife and is due back in court on August 10th.

Ben Affleck Help Jennifer Lopez End her Marriage to Marc Anthony!

Jennifer Lopez famously broke off her engagement with Ben Affleck shortly before she married Marc Anthony. Now it seems she may have turned to her ex-fiance as her marriage to Anthony was crumbling. We're thinking the last thing you want to do after announcing your divorce is make nice at someone else's wedding, but that's exactly what Jennifer Lopez did over the weekend.

"Guadalupe reached out to Ben over email. She wanted advice for Jennifer," a source told the magazine. "She always liked and trusted him. [Ben] replied back on email, wished her well and offered what he could."

Three days after that reported email exchange with Affleck, Lopez and Anthony announced they were calling it quits after seven years of marriage.

"This was a very difficult decision," the couple said in a joint statement last Friday. "We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.""Both of them are very controlling," Drew said. "You can't control a controlling person. It didn't work with Diddy for the same reason. You just can't control Jennifer Lopez."

According to local reports, the do took place at the Crimean Aivazovskii Hotel on the Black Sea and the entire staff, down to the housekeeping crew, was sent away for the week while the multimillion-dollar affair was closed off only to the several hundred invited wedding guests, many of whom had been flown in specially by helicopter for the event.

With that kind of money, it almost seems like the American Idol judge's $1 million payday was a bargain.

"This is a shocker for everybody. The last time most of us saw them together, they were doing an incredibly hot sexy performance on 'American Idol,'" People magazine assistant managing editor Julie Dam said last Saturday on "Good Morning America."

As part of the deal, Lopez sang and danced for the bride and groom, performing a medley of her hits, including "Waiting for Tonight," "Let's Get Loud" and "On the Floor."

The 41-year-old didn't stay at the hotel—in fact she was whisked away after her performance into a fleet of armored cars—but was put up, along with her backup dancers, singers, crew and assorted entourage members at the $4,100-a-night-penthouse suit in the nearby hotel Ville Elena.

"Are you happy?" Lopez asked the crowd from the stage? "I am happy because I am here with you today!"

Divorce or not, for $1 million we could muster up some enthusiasm, too.

Selena Gomezes 19th birthday on this Friday

Selena Gomez has her 19th birthday this Friday and she tells E! News that she'll luckily get what she's been needing...
But she will be having a low key party. Or at least that is what she thinks she will have. You can hear what she says she believes her plans are for it and if Justin Bieber will be there.

Gomez tells E! News that she doesn't have any big plans for her Birthday. The star says that she just wants to relax with Justin Bieber her loved ones (who are not allowed to give her presents) and enjoy some free time.

Selena also talks about her perfume that is coming out, which much of the world back lashed at her for. She claims that she has been working on it for a long time. Which counter claims that she is copying her boyfriend. Many were saying that she is only doing whatever Justin Bieber does, but Selena seems to want to keep the record straight. While she seems that she will be staying focused on her career does not mean she will not get a gift from him. He has been known to be big on surprises.

I am glad to hear that she will be having a low key birthday. I think that will be much better for her than a wild one.

Hey, we understand. Nobody wants Selena to overwork herself and end up in the hospital again.

. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony dismissed their marriage life

One of Hollywood's most famous couples is calling it quits after seven years of marriage. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony announced the end of their marriage Friday evening via a statement they sent out in wide release, and which Lopez linked to from her Twitter account.

"We have decided to end our marriage," the statement reads. "This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."

"Entertainment Tonight" co-host Nancy O'Dell (@NancyODell): "So sorry to hear the Jennifer Lopez/Marc Anthony news."

Entertainment news commentator Dan Wootton (@danwootton): "Shocked that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have split. They seemed so in love on American Idol."

The couple are parents to 3-year-olds twins, Max and Emme.
Also Saturday, a spokesman for Lopez and Anthony's "American Idol"-style singing show "Q-Viva: The Chosen" told Variety the show will go ahead as planned.

The reason is even not clear. They said about this matter, ''we respect secrecy''. However it is third time for Lopez and second time for Anthony.

Jonah Hill is free from drops serious weight!

"Well Jonah Hill I do declare. You are no longer the over-weight best friend. You have moved to leading man status!"

It's comedian Jonah Hill (seriously) at last night's ESPY Awards looking slimmer than ever.

He appears to be back at his birth weight in a nicely tailored suit with a close-cropped haircut. The once-chunky Get Him to the Greek star was on hand to present the award for best game at the sports-themed ceremony and to promote his upcoming baseball movie, Moneyball, starring Brad Pitt.

AbioseMassaquoi.com reacts to seeing the star of 'Superbad' at the a British Academy of Film and Television Arts event last weekend.

"We've always thought DAVE GROHL WAS A MAN OF THE PEOPLE, what with his affable demeanor and all the hilarious videos from the Foo Fighters. Now, the frontman has proven us correct."
— Spinner.com enjoyed seeing the Foo Fighters front man throw a guy out of his concert after he was seen fighting at a show in London.

"NOT HAVING A CELL also meant you had a good excuse for why you couldn't be reached if not near a phone. Not having cells meant actually having to show up on time for something, since you couldn't just call on the fly to say you'll be late. Still, I feel naked without the damn thing."
— Not EnoughTequila.blogspot.com had a hard time dealing after leaving their cell phone at home Thursday.

'Gilligan's Island' and 'The Brady Bunch' creator Sherwood Schwartz dies

Sherwood Schwartz, the television genius who created "The Brady Bunch" and "Gilligan's Island" and wrote the theme songs for both shows has died at 4 a.m. Tuesday. He was 94.

"Gilligan's Island" featured a hummable theme song telling how a boatload of seven characters, including a professor and a movie star, wound up stranded on an island. Bob Denver played Gilligan, the assistant skipper.

Schwartz is a TV legend back in 1961, he won an Emmy for his work as a writer on "The Red Skelton Show." He also served as a script supervisor on "My Favorite Martian" and a writer and producer of "Harper Valley PTA."

Sherwood worked in radio before transitioning over to television serving as a writer for Bob Hope's radio show. He also worked on the radio version of "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet."

"The Brady Bunch" featured Florence Henderson as a widow with three daughters who marries a widower with three sons. A bigscreen version, "The Brady Bunch Movie," was a surprise box-office hit in 1995.

Transformers is now biggest movie of year

Transformers becomes biggest movie of year. The Michael Bay spectacle racked up $47 million, according to studio estimates from box-office trackers Hollywood.com.

"Horrible Bosses" finished second with $28 million, joining "Bad Teacher," "Bridesmaids" and Hangover 2" as the fourth consecutive R-rated comedy to exceed expectations. Because "Horrible Bosses" only cost a modest $35 million to produce, it's safe to call it a hit.

Not so for "The Zookeeper," the PG-rated Kevin James comedy that finished third with $21 milion. The CGI talking-animal effects drove the cost of the project to $80 million, so somebody at Sony is feeling sheepish for moving the film from Fall 2010 to a prime location in mid Summer 2011.

The encore was largely expected as the 3-D picture became just the fourth movie of the year to reach $200 million. The film has earned $261 million in two weeks, surpassing The Hangover PartII's $250.8 million as the biggest movie of 2011.

The film probably will hold the crown "until a certain teen wizard arrives" Friday in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2, says Gitesh Pandya of BoxOfficeGuru.com.

Bosses earned recommendations from 73% of the nation's critics, according to the movie review site Rottentomatoes.com.

"It's been a terrific summer for R-rated comedies," says Pandya, noting that Hangover, Bridesmaids and Bad Teacher have done more than $450 million this season.

Cars 2 was fourth with $15.2 million, followed by Bad Teacher's $9 million. Final figures will be released today.

Despite Transformers' muscle, summer ticket sales continue to nose-dive, falling behind the same weekend last year for the fourth time in five weeks. Attendance also has dropped behind 2010's summer pace, down about 3% from the same time last summer, Hollywood.com says.

In other box office news, Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris" remained in the Top Ten for a 10th consecutive week, and with $40 million under the mattress, it is poised to pass "Hannah and Her Sisters" as Allen's top-grossing film (albeit not adjusted for inflation). They're smiling in jazz heaven.

Natalie Portman's Announced Her Baby's Name

The name of the Oscar winner's bouncing baby boy, born June 14 in Los Angeles, has been revealed.

The couple hasn't announced a name or released a picture, but now reports come from Israel that suggest Portman and Millepied gave their firstborn the name '''''Alefh'''''', after the first letter in the Hebrew alphabet.

With Portman having been born in Israel and fiancé Benjamin Millepied being trés French, the couple seemingly had even more than the usual lot of options when it came to bestowing a name on their first child.

Firstborn, first son...It all fits!

Portman's reps aren't talking, but if the little lad's name is in fact Aleph (it is also sometimes spelled Alef), we find it adorable.

The rumor (Portman's camp hasn't commented yet) stems from Israel Haymon, which reported that "Good Evening with Guy Pines" had broadcast the name not long after Portman gave birth. Portman does have strong ties to Israel: she was born in Jerusalem.

Lady Gaga: My love for my gay fans is just pure

Lady Gaga and the gay community seem to go together like PB&J, but the pop star has recently been criticized for exploiting her LGBT fans to sell records a "ridiculous" claim Gaga isn't taking lightly.

My love for my gay fans is just pure, authentic love for them as supporters of me from the beginning, and me feeling connected to their struggles as someone who is a part of their fight," Lady Gaga says in an interview with The Advocate. She also took this cover photo of herself, while in Germany on tour. She set up the tripod and sat for the shot in Cologne, Germany.

"I believe I was destined to be an artist," she explains, but she sees the role as more than just creating a piece of work or selling lots of albums.

"At the end of the day I could be rolling around in Rolls-Royces, buying mansions for myself, making records, and dancing around in my underwear. But to be honest, I'm not interested in doing that at all. I'd rather be at rallies with the fans, being a part of their voice, helping to mobilize and enforce change. If people don't believe me, they don't have to be a part of it."

Gaga, who is currently in Tawian promoting her 'Born This Way' album, also touches upon the true meaning behind the title track in the interview.

All of the drama surrounding Gaga's relationship with the gay community comes of the heels of yet another controversy this one dealing with her contribution to the Japan earthquake and tsunami relief efforts.

Vinny Guadagnino has left the 'Jersey Shore'

After days of reported drama between Vinny Guadagnino and his “Jersey Shore” housemates, he may have finally made up his mind on whether he’s staying in the Seaside Heights house.

TMZ is reporting that sources connected to the MTV reality show have told them Guadagnino left the house late Friday (July 1) night after getting into an argument with an unnamed cast member. He was seen taking off in a cab with suitcases in hand in the middle of the night.

Guadagnino and the rest of the cast moved into the 'Jersey Shore' house at Seaside Heights, New Jersey, last week to begin the shoot of the fifth season of the popular show. This was just a week after they all came back from Italy, where the cast shot the fourth season of the show.

Guadagnino threatened to leave the show a few days into filming, after he complained of "being homesick" and feeling "burned out" and even left the house and stayed overnight at a hotel last Wednesday.

UsMagazine is reporting that a source told them, "Seeing his family the other day made him get a little homesick. Vinny being the youngest of the bunch, it's a long time to be away from his family. He left and is home. I don't think he will be back."

Us also reports that an MTV spokesperson had this to say about the departure, "We don't comment on series while they are in production but viewers can be assured they will have answers when Season Five premieres."
The “Jersey Shore” crew had very little free time between returning to the United States after shooting Season 4 in Italy before production resumed in Seaside Heights.

William and Kate went on kitchen duty

Prince William and Kate went on kitchen duty Saturday in Montreal. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, seemed to be having a great time as they added their culinary touches to the task at the Quebec Tourism and Hotel institute.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were good sports as they participated in a culinary class at the Quebec Tourism and Hotel Institute. They donned chef's jackets as they and Premier Jean Charest and his wife, Michele Dionne, joined them in the kitchen.

The royal couple didn't shy away during their lesson, with the prince and the premier becoming competitive at times, reports the Montreal Gazette. Here's one account from the newspaper:

During the demonstration Prince William made souffle and the Duchess was shown how to cook an amuse-bouche of foie gras on a toasted brioche with apple cider jelly.

Prince Albert of Monaco and Charlene Wittstock wed, again

A day after their civil wedding, Prince Albert has married the former Olympic swimmer Charlene Wittstock in a Catholic ceremony in Monaco.

That's right. The royal couple of Monaco followed their civil wedding on Friday with a Roman Catholic ceremony Saturday in front of some 300 guests gathered in the Main Courtyard of the Prince's Palace in Monaco.

Among the celebrity guests in attendance: fashion designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Roberto Cavalli and Georgio Armani; supermodel Naomi Campbell; French President Nicolas Sarkozy; and actor Roger Moore.

Armani confirmed early this year that he would be the wedding dress designer. The gown was an off-white silk design featuring a long train with floral embroidery trimmed with stones in gold shades and crystal.

All saw Albert wink at his new bride after she had said ‘Oui’ when asked if she wanted to marry him.

Whatever the challenges of her new married life, Zimbabwe-born Charlene certainly comes from tough stock. Her great-great-great-grandfather John Webb went on an Atlantic expedition with Sir Ernest Shackleton – and ended up in South Africa where he discovered a diamond mine. He met his wife Mary, a lady-in-waiting to a princess, on a boat coming back from Egypt, and they settled in London.

The family emigrated to Rhodesia after the Second World War, but fled to South Africa when Charlene was a baby, to escape the escalating civil war there.

The royal couple also got to see the Parliament Hill event conclude with a fireworks show. The festivities were part of Canada Day celebrations and featured national music acts, including Sam Roberts and Great Big Sea.

there was more than 300,000 people gathered at the event. Kate wore a purple dress from Issa, according to media reports. The Prince loosened up for the evening and didn't wear a tie.

The concert took place on what would have been William's mother's birthday. Princess Diana, who died in a Paris car crash in 1997, would have been 50 on Friday.
